My husband and I were married in April, but we waited until June to have our reception so that our (grown) children could join us in the celebration. Lydia came to our house before the party to take photos for us in our back yard. Her approach made it easy to be relaxed and have fun with each other! She was focused on the details, while encouraging us to laugh, play, and be romantic. She also photographed our families the same day. We have all ages in our family, from 2 months to 85 years old. Lydia has a wonderful way with children, and was able to get several BEAUTIFUL shots! I was very impressed with the way she spoke to the kids, and even got the baby to look at the camera! I think Lydia has tremendous talent. I highly recommend her!
Lydia Teague did not do wedding photos for us, but she did take our daughter’s senior pictures last year. She went out of her way to get to know my daughter prior to the shoot and made helpful suggestions on ways we could better capture her personality and interests. I remember asking Lydia to try and re-create a photo of her as a little girl, which turned out so special. She also surprised us by taking a candid shot of my baby girl and myself together. If I could say one thing about Lydia and her style of photography, is her incredible ability to capture those tiny “details” and moments that most photographers overlook. She is very professional, personable, and has a way of making someone feel at ease. Although my daughter is not planning on getting married any time soon, when the day does come, I have no doubt which photographer we will be hiring to capture her special day! Lydia Teague Photography, that’s who!
Lydia is a true photography gem. My husband and I hired her for our maternity photos and we couldn’t have been more thrilled. She captured just the right emotions without even knowing what we were hoping for (because we didn’t really know either!). She was there to offer just the right amount of guidance and then practically disappeared behind the camera leaving us to just be us and her photos really captured all the excitement, joy and even a little nervousness that all goes with having a baby. She even included our first born, our doggie Dempsey who is typically a nervous wreck. We loved our photos so much we had Lydia come take newborn photos at the hospital less than 24 hours after our little guy was born. We couldn’t have chosen a better photography to capture these precious moments. She has a real creative eye and is a pleasure to work with. I will cherish these memories forever thanks to Lydia.
Lydia is amazing. She did not photograph my wedding, but I wish she had!! She was able to capture so many precious moments of my family (including my squirmy children). She’s worth it.
